Philip J. Weindorf

BIOGRAPHY

WEINDORF

Philip J., 80, of Dumont, died peacefully on Monday, April 10th.  Predeceased by his triplets siblings, John Weindorf and Marcella Tierney; his brothers Lawrence and Gerard Weindorf and his sister, Mary Haughton.  Surviving are his sisters, Ernestine Weindorf, Joan Phyllis Sodickson and her husband Robert, and Virginia Casey and her husband William.  Also survived by his sister-in-law, Joan Weindorf.  Philip was considered the best uncle to 19 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.  He was loved by all and will be sadly missed.

 

Philip was born in the Bronx, NY and was employed as a telephone installer with New York Telephone for 40 years.  He was a proud U.S. Army veteran. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Dumont.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Philip’s life on Monday, 4-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.
